Here at In The White Room we’re always keen to get our clients forging relationships with those looking to use interior design in creative ways – in this instance we’re talking about the ‘blogosphere’.  Not only do bloggers have huge social followings but they also have extremely authoritative voices, and this is where Sisterhood comes in!

Founded by travel & lifestyle writer Lou Archell earlier this year, Sisterhood is a platform that hosts blogger retreats, creative workshops and suppers for artistic and like-minded women. Having worked with them earlier in the year on their inaugural Sisterhood Camp we jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with the Sisterhood girls again for their Winter Seasonal Supper. We set them up to collaborate with our client, Lithuanian-based linen company LinenMewhere they were called upon to help with one of the most important roles of the evening, providing the fabric that would decorate the tables!

Stylist and Sisterhood Art Director Hannah Bullivant swathed the tables in LinenMe’s optical white linen fabric and draped garlands of linen twill from the ceiling – the rustic stonewashed material provided the perfect backdrop for the whimsical style of the décor. Candles in mason jars, sprigs of eucalyptus leaves and scattered fresh figs added an ethereal touch to the outdoorsy dining experience, whilst simultaneously celebrating the winter season. Matching linen napkins made sure the decoration was coordinated but simplistic with heavily scented foliage complementing the natural aesthetics of the banquet, all of which was beautifully captured by photographer Xanthe Berkely.

Appreciating the beauty of simplicity, the celebration of getting back-to-nature and understanding the benefits of togetherness are beliefs that Sisterhood champions and LinenMe certainly complements. Bearing this in mind, it comes as no surprise that Sisterhood were so keen to have LinenMe play such an important role in what proved to be a beautiful and inspirational evening.
